About Us

What do you thirst for?
Jesus met the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well and said to her, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life." In the Spring of 2018, I was listening to an audio book called "The Circle Maker" by Mark Batterson. In the book, the author talks about praying circles around your dreams. At this time, I didn't have a dream, but my heart was heavy for people in our community who were lonely and without connection, and for those who had taken a hard road and needed hope and healing, and for those who had lived hard lives and were too ashamed to walk into a church or a place where they could receive help. I had also become aware of how many people suffer in silence because they don't have a safe place to be real and be seen, known and loved, or they don't believe they have a voice or that their voice matters. Through starting a Bible Study in my home, I learned that doing life in community was life changing and life giving and I wanted to find a way to help others have what I had found. As I was volunteering at a safe house in Atlanta for women who are rescued from human trafficking, I met a young girl who grew up in my town, attended church as a child, recently graduated from the local high school and just stumbled onto the wrong path through a drug addiction that started with a little partying during her high school years. This girl's story made me realize that this is happening in my own back yard and I wondered how to help girls like her before they find themselves on the wrong path. With all of these thoughts in mind, I asked the Lord, "Why?", "What can I do to help?" and "How?" He showed me a vision of Jesus meeting with the Woman at the Well (from Chapter 4 of the Gospel of John). Jesus went to her, he saw her, he knew her, he loved her and he saved her. She was full of shame when she went to Jacob's Well that day and after meeting Jesus, she was redeemed! She ran into town and told everyone that she had met the Messiah! Her shame was gone! She had encountered Jesus! Through this vision of Jesus meeting the woman at the well, I felt Him "say" that He would meet "them" at The Well. In that very moment, "The Well" was birthed and covered in prayer and planned for and then...the pandemic hit. But the pandemic did not catch God by surprise. He knew all along that there would be more isolation, depression, suicide, anxiety, death, divorce, division, abuse, addiction, hopelessness, human slavery, churches closed, rebellion, racism, people living in fear, and no where to connect and live in community with others. He called me to this ministry for such a time as this! The Well is a place for everyone! It is a place for all of us to be come together to fill our souls with the living water and spill out the water of life onto others. It is a place that fosters total wellness of the mind, body, soul and spirit through sessions, events, community partners, prayer and connection. We foster creativity and beautiful, organic experiences with God and people. At the Well, you have the opportunity to share your unique gifts, talents and passions with the community and receive from others who share theirs with you! Along the way, we all get free! And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom! Come join us at The Well and encounter Jesus in unimaginable ways. You will find hope, healing, connection, belonging, freedom, life and love! Thirst no more!
Love and Be Loved!
